Learn Athabaskan directly from fluent speakers.
These archives provide access to audio and video recordings of the Athabaskan language. Along with the education resources and photographs gathered here, the hope is to preserve our cultural heritage and language.
About This Project
This project was started to serve multiple purposes:
- Preserve our native language.
- Give our youth an opportunity to learn our language.
- Preserve treasured recordings of our Village Founder, Doris Charles, speaking in our native language.
- And, allow our tribal members to be educated about our founder’s upbringing from her own words.
We encourage all to learn about our history and culture, and to browse through the files we have obtained and recorded. If you have any recordings, photos or other items you would like to contribute, please reach out.
